Legal Agreement & Service Terms

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: October 2026 • Governing Jurisdiction: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Important Note: By accessing or using ScanTaker (website, mobile interface, or customer support channels), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully before booking any MRI, CT scan, or diagnostic imaging appointment.

1Platform Nature & Scope of Services

ScanTaker is a digital healthcare platform that facilitates discovery, transparent price comparison, appointment scheduling, and digital report retrieval for advanced diagnostic imaging services (MRI, CT Scan, HRCT, Angiography) across accredited partner diagnostic centres and hospitals in Jaipur.

Intermediary Role: ScanTaker is a technology aggregator and appointment facilitator. ScanTaker does not directly own medical equipment, perform radiological procedures, or practice medicine. All scans, clinical procedures, contrast administrations, and radiologist interpretations are conducted independently by qualified MD Radiologists and certified technologists at our partner diagnostic centres.

2Doctor Prescription Requirement

In compliance with medical council regulations and diagnostic radiation safety protocols in India:

  • A valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner (MBBS, MD, MS, or equivalent) is mandatory for diagnostic MRI and CT scans, especially those requiring intravenous (IV) contrast dye.
  • Patients may upload prescription images during online booking or present physical hard copies at the diagnostic centre at the time of appointment.
  • Partner diagnostic centres reserve the absolute right to refuse or modify scan protocols if the required prescription is missing or contradicts medical safety guidelines.

3Pricing, Negotiated Discounts & Payments

ScanTaker negotiates subsidized volume rates with leading diagnostic centres to provide patients with substantial savings (up to 40% – 50% off standard hospital MRPs).

  • Clear Pricing: The scan price shown at booking confirmation represents the estimated rate. Any additional clinical requirement prescribed on the spot (such as extra contrast dye vials, special 3D reconstruction, or sedation for claustrophobic/pediatric patients) may incur separate centre charges.
  • Payment Modes: Patients can pay conveniently at the diagnostic centre reception via Cash, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), Debit/Credit Cards, or via ScanTaker online gateway when applicable.
  • No Booking Fee: ScanTaker does not levy any hidden convenience fee or platform surcharge on patients.

4Patient Safety, Metal Implants & Medical Disclosures

Crucial MRI Safety Warnings

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) employs powerful magnetic fields. Patients with cardiac pacemakers, cochlear implants, aneurysm clips, or metallic foreign bodies in the eyes cannot enter MRI examination rooms due to severe safety risks.

  • Contrast Studies: For contrast-enhanced MRI or CT (CECT), patients must disclose kidney disease history and provide a recent Serum Creatinine report (conducted within the last 30 days) to prevent renal complications.
  • Pregnancy: Female patients must inform the technologist or radiologist if they are pregnant or suspect pregnancy before undergoing any CT scan (due to ionizing radiation) or contrast administration.

5Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds

We understand medical schedules can change. ScanTaker provides flexible booking management:

  • Free Rescheduling: You can reschedule your appointment time or chosen centre free of cost at any time before the scan slot by visiting "My Bookings" or messaging our WhatsApp coordinator.
  • Easy Cancellation: Cancellations made prior to scan execution carry zero cancellation penalty.
  • Refund Policy: If any advance prepayment was collected online and the booking is cancelled prior to scan initiation, 100% of the advance amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days.

6Diagnostic Reports & Turnaround Times

Radiology reports and scan film/CDs are created by registered MD Radiologists at the diagnostic facility:

  • Digital PDF reports are generally uploaded and made available on your ScanTaker "My Reports" dashboard and sent via WhatsApp within 4 to 12 hours of scan completion.
  • Printed hard-copy reports and high-resolution radiological films are handed over at the diagnostic centre according to their specific standard delivery schedule.
  • Emergency and STAT scans are expedited upon request from the referring doctor.

7Partner Diagnostic Centres & Quality Standards

ScanTaker exclusively onboards verified diagnostic centres and hospital imaging suites that meet rigorous quality checks, including:

  • AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) radiation safety compliance for CT units.
  • Modern 1.5 Tesla or 3.0 Tesla Silent MRI scanners and multi-slice CT scanners (32 / 64 / 128 / 256 slice).
  • Certified full-time MD / DNB Radiologists and experienced imaging technologists.

8Limitation of Liability

ScanTaker acts in good faith as a facilitator between patients and healthcare providers. Under no circumstances shall ScanTaker, its directors, or its affiliates be held liable for:

  • Clinical interpretation, radiological findings, accuracy of diagnoses, or medical opinions formulated by diagnostic centres or radiologists.
  • Adverse clinical reactions to contrast dye or medicines administered during medical procedures.
  • Machine maintenance delays or power outages occurring at the third-party diagnostic centre, though we will exert utmost effort to immediately reassign you to an alternative nearby centre.
